NEW PODCAST WITH YALE UNIVERSITY

This year I started a new venture with Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies by starting my own podcast. I do this work along side Chris Perkins (sound engineer). I'm happy that this is finally out because there are eight powerful and positive episodes.

I interviewed some really great people, but you take a listen and tell me what you think.

EXPLORATIONS

MY PERSPECTIVES ON HIP HOP, SPIRITUALITY, DIVERSITY, & EDUCATION

Add text

I look forward to exploring my thoughts with on various topics because I enjoy teaching, learning, and talking. More importantly, I enjoy sharing with others not just what I think, but also walking you through what I have done. As a former campus pastor, I have witnessed the growth of some beautiful people after they have accepted who they are. As a diversity professional, I know that I can positively influence how people learn by being intentional to connect with them. When I combine that with hip hop, I watch the world open up and more possibilities become real through art and courageously speaking out.

Explorations will be another way to dive deeper with me on topics. Let's get started.

Atlanta Botanical Garden's Science Café Webinar Series with Dr. Thomas R. Easley

Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Atlanta, GA

Diversity is challenging to accomplish, but it's not impossible. While some see diversity as a tool for solutions and making society better, it is still moving slowly when we assess its progress socially. Natural resources disciplines and academic institutions are uniquely positioned to address diversity, equity and inclusion globally. Where do we start? And when do we know we've accomplished our goals? Dr. Thomas R. Easley has spent most of his career as a diversity professional and a forester. As a diversity professional he has focused on the recruitment, retention and diverse talent in natural resource disciplines. As a forester he has worked with landowners and citizens on land management and stewardship. Along with his impressive academic experience, Dr. Easley is also a musician. He is known by RaShad in the world of music. His art is called “Save Your Life Music” because he puts a message of love, embracing self and helping others in his music.
